DID YOU KNOW? Mississippi

In order to ensure our citizens are aware of the many services available through our office, the Attorney General’s Office is relaunching the DID YOU KNOW initiative

“The general public very well understands that we’re an agency of lawyers, we prosecute various crimes and assist consumers who are victims of fraud. We also want Mississippians to understand that we are much more than that and accessible to them. We have some of the most experienced, diverse staff in the state who do everything from tackle the growing, sometimes quiet crisis of human trafficking to those who assist victims in their time of need to investigating the abuse of public benefit programs.”
– Attorney General Jim Hood

Many citizens know that our office prosecutes various crimes, brings lawsuits in the public interest, and assists consumers in recognizing and dealing with the fraud and many scams that exist today.
However, in addition to these activities, the Attorney General’s Office provides many other services to the general public.

The poster and Quick Reference Guide are part of our drive to expand public awareness of the many services  available through the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office. All of the materials can be viewed, downloaded and printed.

“I am passionate about the work this office does to assist all Mississippians, particularly those who have been victims of crimes or need assistance in a difficult situation like domestic violence. Through the relaunch of this initiative, we hope to connect with even the most rural communities to let people know what resources our office can make available to them.”
– Attorney General Jim Hood
