General Concerns and Inquiries

July 9, 2019  |

Use the form at the bottom of this page to send general concerns or inquiries only.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT use this form below if the complaint is about Consumer Fraud or Medicaid fraud/abuse, as these issues have separate forms for you to use. Under Mississippi’s Consumer Protection Act, the Attorney General is allowed to sue only to prevent unfair and deceptive business practices occurring statewide or affecting large numbers of people.

If you would like to file a Medicaid Abuse/Neglect Complaint form, click HERE or if you would like to file a Medicaid Provider Fraud Complaint form, click HERE.

Please click here to fill out an official CONSUMER COMPLAINT FORM if you suspect illegal business practices, identity theft, or scams.

Please prove you are human by selecting the Flag.

Pursuant to the laws of the State of Mississippi, the Attorney General and his assistants represent the State of Mississippi and are required to devote their entire time and attention to these public duties. Except as otherwise expressly authorized by law, for example, the limited acts authorized under the consumer protection laws, etc., assistants do not represent or advise private individuals in regard to private legal matters. In addition, the Attorney General and his assistants are expressly prohibited from advising in any manner a person charged with a crime or the breach of a penal statute.

Because the assistants are prohibited from representing or advising persons on private legal matters, any information that you disclose will generally not be considered an attorney/client communication and will not be afforded protections that are normally afforded to attorney/client communications.

If your inquiry concerns a private legal matter, you should consult a private attorney in order to protect your legal rights. You may wish to visit the Mississippi Bar’s website for guidance on how to select an attorney at this link:
